The government has completely prohibited the use of the Prime Minister’s image on banners, festoons, and billboards prepared for any government event. Concurrently, instructions have been issued to prioritize and clearly present the subject matter, purpose, and message of the event when creating promotional materials.

This directive was issued in a circular from the Cabinet Division on Sunday (July 5).

The circular states that the use of the Prime Minister’s image (in 3D or any other form) on banners, festoons, and billboards prepared for any government event is completely prohibited.

It further specifies that when preparing banners, festoons, and billboards for government events, necessary and relevant information must be presented, giving precedence to the event’s subject matter. The design of these promotional materials should be such that the purpose, message, and subject matter of the event are clearly reflected.

The Cabinet Division’s circular also informed that this matter is of utmost importance and will be effective immediately.
